Just finished watching the movie Artificial Intelligence,a sci-fi written,directed and produced by Steven Spielberg.The movie is based on Brian Aldiss's short story Super-Toys Last All Summer Long, is about a childlike android named David (Haley Joel Osment) who has been uniquely programmed to love like humans.

The story is set in the mid 22nd century where global warming has claimed a large death toll and flooded coastlines. A company called Cybertronics of New Jersey creates a prototype model of a childlike android called David with the unique ability to display love for it's owner once the imprinting protocol is activated.The movie goes on to narrate how David as a unique humanoid independently pursues his dream of getting transformed into an organic human being and subsequently, loved by his adopted mother.

And as I watched, it caused a flurry of questions in my mind.If humanoids could ever be programmed to love, what would be our moral code towards them ? If machinescould ever be taught to love,would we as humans be able to reciprocate the same love to something as dead as any other non-living thing ??

Anyways, the movie is good !!
